Joubert Lacour is certified ISO 9001:2015 which attests to the total control of the tracing of our materials and processes.

Since 2013, Joubert Lacour has engaged in a lean management action, in order to develop the notion of continuous progress. A real management system at the service of the company’s performance.

Some products are also TUV (Germany) and BSI (British Standard Institute) certified.

All our Polaire snow chains are certified and approved according to the most important European and American laws: UNI 11313, Ö-Norm V5117, Ö-Norm V 5119, DOT, UTAC.

The certification of our products is the guarantee that each Polaire snow chain meets with the international standards. This is an independent certification body that performs numerous laboratory and on-site tests, with vehicles on ice and snow, to verify the quality of our snow chains.

V5117 Standart

Ö-Norm V 5117 STANDARD

The marking displayed on a type-tested product in accordance with the Austrian standard (ÖNORM V 5117) for passenger car snow chains.

V5119 Standart

Ö-Norm V 5119 STANDARD

The marking displayed on a product in compliance with the very strict Austrian standard (ÖNORM V 5119) relating to snow chains for trucks, buses and medium-duty trucks.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®

The label STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® guarantees the chemical harmlessness of items labelled as harmful in our textile products: woven or knitted rigid or elastic tapes, woven or knitted rigid or elastic cords, knitted, braided or tubular laces and elastic cables.”

STANDARD EN 16662-1

EN 16662-1 is a common European standard for snow chains. It replaces all existing national standards, in particular the Austrian standard Ö-Norm V 5117, the Italian standard UNI 11313 (ex CUNA NC 178-01) and the French standard NFD XP R12-781.

The Mountain Law II makes it compulsory to have snow tyres or snow chains in the concerned massifs, between the 1st of November and the 31st of March of each year. Polaire snow chains comply with the Mountain Law II.

To control the impacts on the environment we work on the entire life cycle of our products.

Systematic decisions are made throughout the life cycle of our products with a view to controlling the impact on the environment.

This involves the following initiatives:

  • waste reduction during design and industrialisation
  • preservation of resources required for production (including energy saving)
  • recycling of production waste into reusable raw material in similar applications
  • recycling of waste through the various networks
